Italian progressive alt-metallers Klogr reveal artwork and tracklisting for new album 'Keystone' + pre-order now available.

Watch the new music video 'Prison Of Light': https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iyj3cq0JrAs

KLOGR release their third studio album 'Keystone' on 6th October via Zeta Factory (distributed in the UK/Europe by PHD) and today have revealed the album artwork and tracklisting.

The artwork is a piece of a painting by renowned Italian artist, Andrea Saltini.

Klogr frontman Rusty comments: “A while ago, I saw a paint of Andrea Saltini and I was really impressed by it. When 'Keystone' came to life with its music, I immediately remembered that painting and thought it would be perfect for our cover. Luckily it was still available and we were able to use it for our design.”

Pre-orders for the new album 'Keystone' are now available in two exclusive bundles with limited edition t-shirt: http://www.klogr.net/shop/

'Keystone' tracklist:

1. Sleeping Through The Seasons

2. Prison Of Light

3. Technocracy

4. The Echoes Of Sin

5. Pride Before The Fall

6. Something's In The Air

7. Drag You Back

8. Sirens' Song

9. Dark Tides

10. Silent Witness

11. Enigmatic Smile

12. The Wall Of Illusion

“'Keystone' is a central point of a system, a doctrine, a school of thought, a series of events”, says Klogr mastermind Rusty, “the new album is the perfect representation of our work, what we believe in and what we want to express with our music.”

Klogr's new album was recorded at Zeta Factory Studio and mixed at Mainstation Studio in Toronto, Canada, by Grammy award winner David Bottrill (Peter Gabriel, Muse, Smashing Pumpkins, Tool, Dream Theater, Stone Sour, Rush).

“We decided to work with a producer like David to reach a turning point in our discography”, comments Rusty, “David brought something that was missing in the band, an outside view focused on music and not on what is “trendy”. His incredible musical sensitivity and his professional experience led us to challenge ourselves and to experiment new solutions that gave the album a unique power and personality.

We are really proud and satisfied of the result, this is our best work ever. We hope you will enjoy it!”

Klogr is:

Gabriele “Rusty” Rustichelli: Lead vocals/guitar

Pietro Quilichini “PQ”: Guitar/backing vocals

Maicol Morgotti: Drums

Roberto Galli: Bass guitar

It’s said that some of the greatest bands of our time have been forged on the road, Devilfire is no exception…

Following 10 days of gigging to 2000 capacity sold out venues as special guests to former Nightwish singer Tarja Turunen, DEVILFIRE have forged a fiery path into the European Rock N' Roll road. Returning to the UK to a sold out festival crowd at Hard Rock Hell AOR 2017 was the icing on the cake, and the Birmingham based melodic hard rock outfit are ready to conquer the world with their debut album 'DARK MANOEUVRES' this October.

Mixed by acclaimed producer Romesh Dodangoda (Motorhead, Bring Me The Horizon, Bullet For My Valentine) and co-produced by Romesh and Devilfire frontman Alex Cooper (Shy, Quireboys Spike, Ginger) at Long Wave Studios in Cardiff, 'Dark Manoeuvres' is a mammoth 13-track album. Calling on varied influences with a darker melodic sound, this hook laden, riff filled collection of music has been carefully crafted with passion. 'Dark Manouevres' is set to push rock's boundaries with its honest British roots.

“I try to put my heart on the page, be as open and honest as its all I know", says Cooper, "Dark Manoeuvres is a therapy for me. As an artist all you can do is try to put the listener into your shoes. I feel that is the greatest power of music. It's always what I’ve loved when listening to any music that I emotionally connect with. With this debut album we've taken our time to curate the best possible music we can at this stage, and I honestly believe we've accomplished what we set out to do."

'Dark Manoeuvres' is such an accomplished debut album, you'd be forgiven for thinking this was Devilfire's third, not first full length studio release. From the opening foot stomper 'Ready For War', to the true immediacy of singles 'Waiting For A Rockstar', 'She's Always On The Run', to the swing of 'Tear Me Apart', and passion of closing track 'Somehow', this new album wears its hooks loud n' proud, whilst easily stamping Devilfire's own take on modern rock music.

“The songs on this record are just so good", agrees Romesh Dodangoda, "Devilfire are definitely a band for the future."

"Metalcore's freshest new talent" Kerrang!

"Don't blame us when you headbang your way into oblivion!" Rock Sound

As seen on Scuzz TV, and taken from their self-titled debut ep, Death Blooms dispense with the pleasantries and show off music muscle with their new music video 'Sick'.

Hailing from Liverpool and Manchester, the metalcore four-piece burst onto the scene earlier this year with their stunning first music release 'I'm Dead' and a number of live shows which has seen them sharing the stages with the likes of Dope, Skindred, Raging Speedhorn, (Hed)P.E., Anti-Clone and more.

Supporters of mental health charity MIND, Death Blooms fresh take on metal with meaning has seen their fan base grow rapidly. Vocalist Paul Barrow humbly recognises this, "We talk to people who've taken the time to listen to our music, and because the lyrics encapsulate what many of us feel on a daily basis, a lot of folk make the connection quickly about mental health and the need for well-being in this fast and furious digital age."

Barrow explains the meaning behind the song and new video, "'Sick' is about the constant struggle inside of your own thoughts and the journey you undertake along the way. Sometimes, you feel like you have complete control of the situation and other times you have absolutely none. 'Sick' is about wanting to break free from your own shackles, but acknowledging and accepting that this is who you are. It's good to talk about how you feel and to be honest, most importantly, with yourself. I feel like the song ended up being one massive therapy session for me."

Death Blooms self-titled debut ep is available now:

. iTunes: http://apple.co/2sFn7Wa

. Spotify: http://spoti.fi/2sK26Hb

Death Blooms live:

17th Jul - MILTON KEYNES, Craufurd Arms (w/ Trapt, The Fallen State)

27th Aug - LIVERPOOL, Studio 2 (w/ Loathe, Harbinger)

More dates to be announced.

Bloodstock Festival announces GraViL + watch 'Detonate' new music video

"Pure f**kin’ metal delivered with maximum vitriol. This band rules harder than Josef Stalin." - Dom Lawson

The latest announcement by Bloodstock Open Air this past Tuesday sees the London melodeath group GRAVIL confirmed for the prestigious Sophie Lancaster stage on Sunday 14th August. This new addition to the bill once again demonstrates Bloodstock's commitment to championing new bands in the metal community.

"We are honoured to be a part of Bloodstock Open Air 2017" says GraViL vocalist Grant Stacey. "Each year this spiritual home of heavy metal somehow betters the year before. We have each spent a lot of time on the hallowed ground of Catton Park, witnessing stunning new bands, the earth shattering veterans of the main stage and embracing the metal music community that we have come to call our family. Now we are privileged to grace the SOPHIE stage, whose very name represents the strength and pride of our brotherhood. See you there!"

2017 has seen a resurgence for GraViL. Their sophomore album 'No More Forgiveness' was released in May and has being going down a storm with media and the band's fanbase. With various premieres by the likes of Metal Hammer, Scuzz TV, Terrorizer and more, GraViL have now unleashed the music video for elite track 'Detonate'.

This new video clip shows the group in a high-octane performance which also features three versions of the mysterious woman, 'Obliti'... the present broken self, a lost dream of grandeur and the self-loathing dark entity which destroyed it.

"'Detonate' is a personal song drawn from a negative situation", explains Stacey, "The video captures the lyrics perfectly... it tackles loss, taking charge and using the anger, rage and sadness to triumph over the overwhelming paint that the loss entails... hence detonating."

Whilst the song and video reflect important issues in our society, it didn't stop the band from taking time out to have fun on set and inflict 'crabcore' on non-believers.

"On the way to the video shoot we discussed how low our guitarists get to the floor during live shows. Sparx (bass) mentioned it was called crabcore and a confused Charlie (Webster, guitar) refused point blank to believe there was such a thing. Like a red rag to a bull this spurred us onto mischief, leading to the band shouting "crab it" during the performance sections and band members having to get as low as physically possible to the floor without taking the soles of their feet off the ground."

GraViL's new album 'No More Forgiveness' is out now.

GraVIL live:

23rd June - COVENTRY, Arches (w/ Metaprism)

8th July - BURNLEY, Sanctuary Rock Bar (w/ Metaprism, Today, They Are Older)

14th Aug - BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR (Sophie Lancaster Stage)

More dates to be announced.

'Sun Stroke Heart' voted runner up: http://teamrock.com/feature/2017-04-28/tracks-of-the-week-57

New hard rock blues band SAMARKIND's lead single 'Sun Stroke Heart' doesn't miss a beat. Wasting no time introducing itself with locked down grooves, layers of quality soundscapes and stunning, memorable melody hooks weaving a tapestry throughout the track. Classic yet undeniably modern in its delivery, this is a true musical treat for rock fans.

iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/sun-stroke-heart-single/id1225661357

The multi-national group, which features charismatic Irish frontman David Paul Byrne (formally teenage wunderkind singer for successful hard rock band Assassin - a time that saw them tour with Def Leppard, Status Quo, WASP, Manowar and more - and featured vocalist on 80's cult movie 'Trick Or Treat' starring Ozzy Osbourne and Gene Simmons), showcases sublime vocals which are accompanied by the talents of sensational Polish guitarist Michal Kulbaka, Ireland's Mark Dempsey on bass guitar, and South African born drummer Marius Appelgryn.

Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/album/49ZA36uKrDR5fi1Tw9HgyJ

"'Sun Stroke Heart' has this uplifting vibe yet brooding undertones", the Samarkind frontman explains, "it's a dark tale of resentment at being let down by those close to us, particularly for me during a time when I was in Spain living a lifestyle in the sun, while underneath feeling a dark emotional pain. Although not aimed at anyone in particular, I feel the song conveys a sense of hurt that we all sometimes feel."

Recorded at Westland Studio in Dublin with producer Alwyn Walker: Samarkind are currently putting the final touches to their debut album, with a release date set to be announced for later this year.

David Paul Byrne - Vocals

Michal Kulbaka - Guitar

Mark Dempsey - Bass

Marius Appelgryn - Drums

Metal Hammer have premiered Krysthla's music video for the opening track to their new album 'Peace In Our Time'.

Guitarist Neil Hudson says of the track: "The Minor Mystery Of Death is about embracing the end. Death is an absolute certainty and we're living lives that seem like they're going to last forever until it's too late and your mortality is thrust into your hands.

We're very precious towards our lives but don't actually live them.”

Peace In Our Time was influenced by Krysthla’s 2016 tour of the Balkans with Decapitated – with Hudson revealing that one experience on the road will live with him forever....
